Please pray for the people of the Beulah Valley in Colorado. (18 miles west of Pueblo) My brother, Pastor Jeff Morrison has been evacuated along with the entire community. The fire is burning and is 0% contained as of today, Tuesday, and has burned about 3500 acres thus far. Beulah sits on the foothills of the San Juan Mountains in Colorado. Grandview Baptist Church sits on the highway as well as my brothers home on the same property. Pray for the fire crews and first responders who will continue the fight as the sun came up today.

Every love relationship consists of giving and taking, and our relationship to God is no different. What should we give to God in response to all that He extends to us. His grace, love, power, and holiness? Here are three general responses that come to my mind: 1) God wants our obedience. God is the author of life and gives to us precepts and principles that lead to blessing and our eternal well-being 2) God desires our praise. God does not need to have His ego stroked like we do. But what we do need is to be able to see beyond ourselves and learn to worship. All of us can take a lesson from David in II Chronicles 29:10-13 3) God desires right living from us, a sensitivity to both one another and to Him. Micah 6:8 4) Above all, God wants our hearts! Deut. 6:4-6. God knows that if He captures our heart that the rest of our lives will follow. That is why Solomon wrote Proverbs 4:23. The heart is a private place where we make all of our decisions, entertain our deepest thoughts and our most determined purposes. EVERYTHING starts with the heart Does God have my heart today? Love you all, Pastor John Morrison

Think about all those who have served this great nation and those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. I am grateful to my Lord and Savior, Jesus. Who made the perfect sacrifice once and for all for me.
